Hey Luvs! Hope you all had a great weekend! Kevin, Molly, Owen and I had a great time. We had family in town visiting which was so nice. We went and saw Santa, visited some fun festive spots in LA to get in the holiday spirit, and just enjoyed some chill time with family at home. There were definitely a few stressful things that went on too, as sadly it looks like we might have to cancel our trip home for Christmas due to some unforeseen problems with renting our old home before we move into the new one. I won’t get into all the details until we figure it out, but it’s definitely weighing heavily on my mind and heart right now.
So since I was feeling pretty down in the dumps this morning (yesterday morning if you are reading this on Monday), Kevin planned a fun little family outing to the farmers market and we just strolled around in our soon to be new neighborhood. Yes, we will eventually move into our new house. We’re just waiting for the city to turn on the gas. Another long story! If anyone has a personal contact as Socal Gas they could put me in touch with, I would be sooo appreciative!
And of course my little snuggle muffin Molly totally lifted my spirits today! How fun and cute are our matching hats?! I used to buy actual mommy and baby sized matching hats. But now that she’s getting older and her head is so big (Ha! Cause she’s so smart!) I am just able to buy her adult size hats and they fit her pretty well. Plus I think the oversized look on her is just too stinking adorable! So, I just bought us matching beanies from Nordstrom. They were super affordable only $15 each. Last I checked, our actual beanies sold out, but I found a super similar one by the exact same brand for only $15 HERE. In fact, Nordstrom has a ton of cute beanies that are under $20. Sharing a few of my favorites below…
Speaking of great accessories, I also got my scarf from Nordstrom for under $25. It’s still in stock but I doubt it will be for much longer cause it’s ridiculously cute! Also it doesn’t have too much bulk so it looks really cute and flattering. I don’t know why, but sometimes I feel like scarves can put so much bulk around my neck that it’s not flattering. This one gives me the warmth I want in a scarf, but is also very flattering. And it’s on sale for $12!!!! Snatch it up before it sells out!
And I know it’s not even Christmas yet, but I’m all done with my holiday shopping so I’m totally focused on all the cozy warm sweaters I’m going to be wearing this January! January actually tends to be the coldest month of the year in LA and it’s perfect sweater weather! I love the neutral color of the sweater I’m wearing but it still has a ton of very subtle colors all throughout it. It’s only left in limited sizes so make sure you snatch it up now if you like it! One of my other favorite sweaters from Nordstrom is this Leith sweater. It’s under $60 and I’m absolutely obsessed with it! I own it in both blush and red. I added photos of me wearing that sweater below so you can see it. It’s super flattering and such a cozy sweater for the winter!
Anyway guys, just wanted to share details on this super cute look! Hope you guys love it! Wish us luck on our housing situation. We really need all the luck we can get right now!
